Canton man charged with murder of missing Domino’s employee

A Canton man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Domino’s employee in Madison. 

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Terrance Caldwell has been charged with the murder of 31-year-old Helerica Dortch, who had been missing since December 13th when her body was found in Madison on Tuesday.

Caldwell also faces multiple charges following an armed robbery and shooting at a Canton gas station on Thursday. He faces attempted capital murder charges after Ranjit Singh, an employee of the gas station, was shot in the face but is expected to survive. 

Caldwell was arrested late Thursday night by Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of several other local and statewide law enforcement agencies.
