A former Mississippi State wide receiver has been killed in Birmingham.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, De’Runnya Wilson, who played for MSU from 2013-15, was killed at a home on Northland Avenue this afternoon.
Sergeant Johnny Williams stated that after arriving on the scene, a relative told officers that the 25-year-old was unresponsive inside the home. No cause of death has been revealed at this time, but Williams said that officers “discovered information that led them to investigate the death as a homicide.”
