As experts continue to learn more about COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added new symptoms to its website.
The initial three symptoms – including fever, cough & shortness of breath – remain, but the list has been expanded to include six additional symptoms.
- Chills
- Repeated shaking w/ chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore Throat
- New loss of taste or smell
According to the CDC, this list is not all-inclusive and a wide range of symptoms have been reported with varying degrees of severity.
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. To help prevent the spread of the virus and protect yourself, the CDC continues to recommend social distancing, proper handwashing hygiene and the use of a mask while out in public.
