The legacy of Thomas ‘Snacks’ Lee continues to grow as the former Jackson State basketball student manager won the 2020 ‘Can’t-Stop-Watching-Moment’ ESPY Award.
The nation couldn’t stop watching the viral moment as Snacks came off the bench to nail a 3-pointer in the closing minutes of JSU’s senior night win over UAPB back in March.

Snacks took home the top spot for the award by earning the top vote against finalists Riley Sartain-Vaughan, Newtown High School football team, and Obed Lekhehle after winning 79 percent of twitter polls and winning ESPN’s online voting process.
He also knocked off No. 1 seeded Olympic Superstar and two-time ESPY award winner Simone Biles in the elite eight as he advanced past Biles’ world record-setting moment.
Lee becomes the first ESPY winner in JSU history as well as the entire Southwestern Athletic Conference.
