Today, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 797 new cases of coronavirus and 15 new deaths induced by the virus.
This total case number in Mississippi is now up to 34,622, while the total death number is now up to 1,230.
Earlier this week, Dr. Thomas Dobbs said that “the coronavirus is the worst that it’s been this whole time,” and yesterday, the State Health Officer postponed all non-urgent surgeries that require overnight hospitalization due to the surging numbers.
