The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 699 new cases of COVID-19 and 0 new deaths.
Today’s report brings the state’s total up to 143,879. This follows higher weekend totals with Saturday’s 1,972 cases representing Mississippi’s largest one-day increase.
This is the third instance in the last four weeks that Monday’s report included zero additional COVID-19-related deaths. To date, 3,676 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
Overall hospitalizations continue to climb as case numbers rise.
The MSDH is now able to estimate that 121,637 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
