The Mississippi State Department of Health has confirmed 1,527 new cases of COVID-19 with six additional deaths.
Friday’s report brings the total number of cases in Mississippi up to 204,178. So far, 4,562 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs continues to encourage people to keep their celebrations small as the state saw 180 coronavirus-related hospital admissions—tied for the most since the onset of the pandemic—on Thursday alone.
Record COVID admissions AND the hospitals are already full.
Thank a healthcare hero this Christmas!
