As legislators continue to convene at the state capitol, it has been reported that a staffer at the building has tested positive for COVID-19.
Both chambers have already gaveled in for the day and have made some quick procedural adjustments in order to complete today’s vote.
Speaker of the House Philip Gunn informed members this afternoon that they should take the Appropriations calendar up in block and send them to conference as soon as possible. This will allow members who do not need to be in those meetings to leave the building.
Gunn also told legislators that all general bills on today’s calendar will be voted on at the end of the day.
This is a developing story.
