COVID-19 continues to alter Southern Miss’ football schedule.
The Golden Eagles’ upcoming road matchup at UTEP, scheduled for Friday, has been canceled after positive cases and contact tracing forced the Miners to suspend team activities.
The USM-UTEP matchup had been postponed back in mid-October due to an outbreak within the Golden Eagle program.
This becomes the fourth game for Southern Miss that has been affected by COVID-19 after this past Friday’s matchup with UAB was also canceled.
At 2-7, the Golden Eagles’ 2020 season will come to an end on December 10th when they take on FAU — another matchup that was originally postponed.
