Chicago is the latest city to require people from Mississippi to self-quarantine for 14 days before entering the city limits.
The Emergency Travel Order, which directs people entering or returning to Chicago from states currently experiencing surging COVID-19 numbers to quarantine, was issued last Thursday and went into effect Monday morning.
Below, you can see which states have been added to the emergency travel order:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Arizona
- California
- Florida
- Georgia
- Idaho
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- North Carolina
- Nevada
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah
This is the second emergency travel order that Mississippi has been included in after tri-state governors announced last week that Mississippians planning on traveling to New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut need to self-quarantine for 14 days before entering the tri-state area.
