Elijah Moore, Ole Miss’ top target and one of the leading receivers in all of college football, has announced that he will opt out of the remainder of the 2020 season in order to prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft.
The junior wideout made the announcement on Twitter Thursday afternoon following a record-setting season.

In just eight games, Moore surpassed A.J. Brown’s single-season Ole Miss record for receptions with 86—leading the nation—and he ranks second nationally in receiving yards with 1,193. Today’s announcement coincides with the Fort Lauderdale native cracking the top 25 of ESPN Draft Expert Mel Kiper Jr.’s ‘Big Board’ as the result of a remarkable season that rewrote Moore’s legacy in red and blue following the events of the 2019 Egg Bowl.
A Biletnikoff & Maxwell Award semifinalist, Moore racked up the most receiving yards in SEC history thru eight games and will fall just 14 catches shy of Laquon Treadwell’s career reception record at Ole Miss with 189.
Moore wasn’t the only Rebel to announce his NFL intentions today as he was joined by TE Kenny Yeboah. In his lone season at Ole Miss as a grad transfer from Temple, Yeboah caught 27 passes for 524 yards and six touchdowns.

The Rebels, without Moore and Yeboah, take on LSU to finish the regular season Saturday at 2:30 in Baton Rouge.
