Governor Reeves has issued a statement dispelling the rumor:
The Mississippi Department of Revenue has also issued an official statement:
“There has been NO order for Mississippi liquor stores to close down at 3:00 today. Any other news regarding the closing of liquor stores is false, and there are no plans to close them at this time.”
