The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting less than 200 new cases of COVID-19.�
The confirmation of 136 new cases brings the state�s total number of cases up to 11,432. 528 Mississippians have tragically passed away due to the virus following this morning�s report of 7 additional deaths.�
*MSDH Note – 2 confirmed COVID-19 related deaths on May 5 were identified through death certificate reports.�
This morning, the MSDH also updated its recovery estimate to reflect that nearly 7,700 people in Mississippi have recovered from COVID-19.
