The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 945 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report brings Mississippi’s total up to 77,268. With the confirmation of *23 additional deaths, 2,237 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
MSDH Note: 1 confirmed COVID-19 related death occurred on August 16, identified from a death certificate report.
The latest hospital data (Friday’s report) shows that overall hospitalizations have continued on a downward trend.
