The Mississippi Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to announce the opening of a new center in partnership with the City of Jackson. The City of Jackson SBDC is located 200 S. President Street, Jackson, MS.
The center will provide no-cost one-on-one business counseling and workshops for Jackson Metro residents who have an existing business or are starting a business. For a list of workshops, please visit the website at www.mssbdc.or or www.sba.gov/ms.
During the grand opening, SBA Mississippi District Director Janita R. Stewart said, “It’s a privilege to be here to open this center as the assistance provided here will help propel small businesses increase their revenue stream, create and retain jobs, expand the tax base and helps local, state and the national economy.”
The Small Business Development Center is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration helping entrepreneurs succeed in business opportunities. In Fiscal Year 2019, the SBDC assisted over 3,590 clients to obtain $29 million in financing for their business.
The MSBDC Network is a national partnership between state and federal governments, private sector, colleges and universities. It is a one-stop resource center that provides a variety of counseling, workshops and information services statewide for start-ups and existing small businesses. Services include assistance in business plan development, market analysis, sources of capital, technology transfer, inventor assistance and other managerial and technical support services.
